In my last post I introduced the basic metaphor of Huna which explains their model of the way we create our future. If you recall, we mentioned the conscious mind, the subconscious mind and the superconscious mind.
The conscious mind is like a person sitting on the ground floor of a house. It can see out the windows, see what’s going on in the world. It can make decisions based on this information.
The subconscious mind sits in the basement. It houses memory and emotions. The subconscious mind needs direction from the conscious mind in order to function properly and create a desirable future.
The superconscious mind is like a cloud floating above the house. It has vision far off into the distance…i.e. it can see far more than the conscious mind can. It can see how things and events are connected, and the far reaching extent of various actions or choices.
Unfortunately the conscious mind has no access to this superconscious mind…but the subconscious mind does!
The ideal mechanism is for the conscious mind to make a choice about what it would like. It would then communicate this choice to the subconscious mind, who could then pass it on the superconscious mind. The superconscious mind has the power arrange circumstances and events to make whatever needs to happen…happen.
The most fascinating idea contained in this metaphor is that the conscious mind needs to engage the help of the other than conscious resources in order to create in a harmonious way. This is in direct contradiction to modern belief which is “work harder if you’re not getting what you want.”
And actually, one of the reasons I teach my centering drill to everyone and anyone who’s interested in manifesting their desires is because…it’s a surefire, proven way to engage your other than conscious resources and direct them to create what you want.
