Affirmations V2.0

So we’ve all heard about and hopefully played around with affirmations by now. Sometimes they work great…other times not so good. What’s the difference?

Well here’s the thing. When you say, read or write an affirmation down…you often add something to the end of it…subconsciously.

For example, if your affirmation is “I choose to loose 10 pounds.” You might be adding “but that would take lots of work…” to the end of it. Again, this happens subconsciously and beyond your conscious control so there’s no point beating yourself up over it.

We call this additional part of the end a “tag end”. You tag something on the end of your affirmation…and more often than not, it’s not very productive. In fact, it almost reverses the effect of the affirmation. Instead of affirming that you’ll loose ten pounds, you end up affirming that it’s hard work to loose ten pounds. Kind of sucks right?

So, how do you take care of this? Well, it’s simple really…you just remove the emotional charge from the tag end. That removes any power if may or ever will have over you. The perfect tool for this is of course EFT…here’s the link to our EFT Video Tutorial.

Simply ask yourself: “What am I adding to the end of this affirmation?” or “What’s stopping me from achieving this goal?” – more often than not, that’s enough to elicit the various tag ends you may be subconsciously installing.

Use EFT to remove the emotional charge from those tag ends and you’ll feel an immediate weight off your shoulder. You’ll find yourself more optimistic and enthusiastic about your goal. Even more exciting, you’ll find yourself taking spontaneous action.
